Malik found a spider and Alisha was very eager to hold it! Its fantastic to see children without fear around creepy crawlies. I was terrified of spiders all through my childhood!

My Portrait!

Mia really enjoyed doing her own self portrait! She had a good look in the mirror and mixed her skin colour and made her fantastic glasses using pipe cleaners. Super for building her self identity and pride in the special little person she is!

Elsie Mai really enjoys this practical life activity which involves colouring in the mirror and then cleaning it up to reveal her beautiful face again.

Killian and Cullen delighted in turning Emma into the Peg lady! Super for social development and fine motor skills, building up those little hand muscles.

Mia and Elsie Mai had loads of fun on the slide this morning. They ran round and round and down the slide for about 10 minutes together! (Long time in little peoples world..)

Mia loves to paint and really puts thought into her brush strokes. Painting is a wonderful way for children to express their feelings.

Sophie is reading to Killian here. The children really enjoy reading to each other and they also love when a friend reads to them. Very sweet. Another example of how children copy behaviour that they learn form adults.

The Knobbed Cylinders.

This Montessori activity is great for cognitive and concentration development. It also introduces children to the concept of 1-10. Amelia flew through this without any bother and really enjoyed it!

In the Library!

The children will often retreat to the library for a spot of reading. I love this!

Pizza Man.

Malik loves role play and here he's making pizzas for his friends. He promises 'you can have whatever topping you like'. Some kids have icecream...
