Malik made two solar systems, linked them and spun them around. SO creative!

Amelia and Natalia working together to clean the tables for lunch.Every day the children get different jobs and these are the highlight of their morning! This is great for building independence and a sense of routine.

Had to put this in because Fiadh loves to express herself and you can really see shes enjoying the measuring game she playing with Anna and Malik.

There nothing Killian enjoys more than to show us his new moves! This one was fantastic. Its great to let them have a little bit of risk in their lives!

Going on a bear hunt!
Acting out "we're going on a bear hunt" with the kids. They loved the drama of it all. Cullen played the role of the bear and got totally into character!

Malik made this drum kit completely from scratch using only his imagination and the recycled stuff! Magic. An inventor in the making..
Fiadh adding oregano to her play dough pizza. Nice way for children to explore news smells and tastes.
Malik found a spider and Alisha was very eager to hold it! Its fantastic to see children without fear around creepy crawlies. I was terrified of spiders all through my childhood!
Fun in the Garden.
Mia and Amelia give baby a bath and roll her up in a towel to dry her. Role play is so important for developing social skills and imagination. Play is a child's education.

Elsie Mai loves drawing on the chalk board and here does a lovely job of finishing off Emma's rainbow.
Mia really enjoyed doing her own self portrait! She had a good look in the mirror and mixed her skin colour and made her fantastic glasses using pipe cleaners. Super for building her self identity and pride in the special little person she is!

The kids love to dress up and take the bus to different lands like "spiderman land" or to the hospital for Molly.

Mia adds cinnamon to her play dough pancake and she then offered her friends a bit! Super for her social skills and exploring new tastes and smells. Great job Mia!
Elsie Mai really enjoys this practical life activity which involves colouring in the mirror and then cleaning it up to reveal her beautiful face again.
Killian and Cullen delighted in turning Emma into the Peg lady! Super for social development and fine motor skills, building up those little hand muscles.

Elsie Mai loves learning all about the planets and she's matching her planet cards here. Matching and sorting is great for a child's cognitive development.

Mia and Alisha build their coloured towers together. They really enjoyed this activity together and went on to build two more towers!

Mia and Elsie Mai had loads of fun on the slide this morning. They ran round and round and down the slide for about 10 minutes together! (Long time in little peoples world..)

Mia loves to paint and really puts thought into her brush strokes. Painting is a wonderful way for children to express their feelings.

Fynn loves water play!!
Sophie is reading to Killian here. The children really enjoy reading to each other and they also love when a friend reads to them. Very sweet. Another example of how children copy behaviour that they learn form adults.
Both children are playing away at two different activities but also very much alongside each other.

Soph and Fiadh really enjoyed playing with the dolls together this morning and played so well together too.

Jake is helping Killian hold up his pirate boat for the practice run for his moment in the spot light of the Paddy's Day parade. They are super bunch of friends with lovely social skills developing all of the time.

The Knobbed Cylinders.
This Montessori activity is great for cognitive and concentration development. It also introduces children to the concept of 1-10. Amelia flew through this without any bother and really enjoyed it!
In the Library!
The children will often retreat to the library for a spot of reading. I love this!
Malik loves role play and here he's making pizzas for his friends. He promises 'you can have whatever topping you like'. Some kids have icecream...
Sharing in circle time.
Sophie has being telling us about how Nana Shelly was picking her up today from school that day. I had to snap this pic of Soph as she was feeling so happy to have sat in circle time and shared this bit of news with her friends.
